About us
Who are we?
Let's start with a little bit of background. We are a small group of ARMY (BTS fans) who thought it would be a fun idea to organize a BTS themed party as BTS is known all over the world by now, even in our tiny country. Just to be clear, we are not an official organization or fanbase, but a group of fans with a shared passion and lots of motivation to make this party happen.
What is this?
With this idea of the first BTS party ever in Belgium in our minds, we decided to come together and came up with the name 'BTS Dancefest'. Maybe you already stumbled upon our Twitter, Instagram or Facebook page! BTS Dancefest will be the first BTS party in Belgium made by ARMY for ARMY where we can all come together, enjoy ourselves and dance to BTS' unique discography. It's a party where we can have fun for one night because, as BTS already made clear, we don't need permission to dance! And maybe at the end of the night, you will have made some new friends.
Why now?
Being fans of the biggest K-pop band in the world, we saw BTS dance parties happening all over the world, but not in Belgium unfortunately. We weren’t the only ones who were bothered by this as we saw other Belgian ARMY who were thinking the same thing: we need this in Belgium too! As BTS is getting bigger and bigger with every passing second (just like the fandom), it is about time that we take matters into our own hands. Especially now, with the members in the military, it is the perfect timing to organize a party, have fun together and remind ourselves that BTS will be back soon!
What makes BTS Dancefest unique?
We already made it clear that this is the first BTS dance party in Belgium, but it is also different from other BTS-related activities that have happened in Belgium. In the past, several successful cupsleeve events have been organized in different Belgian cities, but the purpose of those is to get a drink, talk with some people and go home with a nice cupsleeve. However, that is not what we want to achieve with this party. We want to dance, forget about our worries and make sure everyone has the time of their life!
